You could say my love of photography came with my very first purple camera when I was 8 years old. While the camera I use is no longer purple, the passion for taking pictures remains the same.

My name is Jackie Powell, and I've always felt that I see the world through different eyes. I see everything around me in still frames. I'm a firm believer in capturing one-of-a-kind moments. When our words cannot explain, pictures do. I've carried a camera around with me for years, and I cried terribly when I dropped that first purple camera over the edge of PIke's Peak. It was then that I realized how important the memories inside really are.
